We have considered ourselves very fortunate to have worked with John on our most recent home purchase. In the 2 years we searched to find just the right property, John was always so patient and professional. His holistic view when guiding a buyer through the process of a sale was one of the things we most appreciated. He often clearly walked us through both the pros and cons of a property in order to make sure we felt good about the purchase we would be making. His genuine care for the needs and priorities of the client were consistently event in how often he went above and beyond to make sure we were satisfied and kept informed on all proceedings of the sale. We could not have been more pleased and will always use John for all future purchases and sales.

"It was a pleasure and joy to work with John, Quinn and the whole Nieland team. We are first-time homebuyers and new to Oregon, and felt apprehensive about purchasing property so far away from home. However, the Nielands’ kind and welcoming spirit put our family at ease as soon as we met, and the friendship that grew gave us the confidence to take the leap and settle our family of four here in Lake Oswego.
The Nielands’ knowledge of Lake Oswego is unparalleled, as their family has been in real estate since the early 70’s. Every time we mentioned a property we were interested in, either John or Quinn would come back to us with detailed information that would have been impossible to procure except with the experience and long-term relationships the Nielands have been able to enjoy over the years. And this was before we had even asked them to be our realtors!
Going into business with friends can be difficult, but at some point my husband and I realized that in order to find the right home, we needed to work with John and Quinn. Over a period of just two months (and I believe 200 emails, letters and phone calls sent on our behalf), we were able to find a beautiful waterfront home that we would never even dreamed of owning and enjoying, had it not been for the Nielands' communal spirit, their business acumen, and the quality of their professional relationships. My family could not be happier in our new home.
But beyond the house and all of the details of the largest financial purchase of one's life, I am so happy to just be part of the whole Nieland clan's orbit. A friend once said that John and Quinn were put on this earth to help people, and I couldn't agree more. Their passion for family is what led them to real estate; it is just that homes are such a big part of family life that they are in this business. I think what makes them tick at the end of the day is joy--the joy in sharing the fruits of one's hard-earned life, having a blast while doing it, and the more kids the better! Being around these rad dads has made me a more fun mom, a more communally-minded citizen, and now even a boater to boot. Meeting the Nielands will likely go down as one of our family's biggest blessings in this life, I am sure of it."

"I have met with all three of the Nieland family regarding their real estate and property management capabilities. They are an incredibly pleasant, ethical and knowledgeable group with which to work.
I worked with John Nieland in looking for and securing my "downsize" property on the lake. He was incredible astute concerning what was on the market and what could possibly fit my needs. I had been a realtor in another state for years and knew how the "typical" realtor operates...having the commission dollars as their first priority! John definitely does NOT fit that profile!! He is consistently objective about every property we viewed, including giving the negatives as well as the positives of each home. His sense of humor was ALWAYS appreciated! He kept in constant communication with me re the escrow and even saved me THOUSANDS of dollars because of his thorough inspection practices during the transaction. The previous owner wasn't even aware of an old oil tank buried on the property, which required an expensive DEQ decommissioning during the escrow. Because of that, I didn't get burdened with this huge problem!
John is a 10* realtor in my book! In fact, he has just listed my home on Lake Oswego and I am using his brother Quin to rent another property for me. You will not regret working with the Nieland Team!"

"John Nieland was fantastic from beginning to end. This was an estate sale and I live outside of the US so I was very dependent on John for many aspects of getting the house ready to sell, and ultimately sold.
He always delivered as promised, his professional insight and advice was welcomed, and followed, his communication is prompt and clear. What can I say... highly, highly recommended."
