Lents


A 2008 article in the Oregonian called Southeast Portland’s Lents neighborhood a “diamond in the rough.” Located just over six miles southeast of Downtown, Lents is one of Portland’s largest, oldest, and most diverse locations. Founded in 1892, Lents was built as a suburb of Portland, and wasn’t annexed to the city itself until 1912. The neighborhood is almost four square miles.

 

VIBE AND STYLE

Lents has a great mix of residential communities while still being close to major roadways for easy access to other parts of town. In 2008, The City of Portland designated Lents an Urban Renewal Area, which continues to bring new shopping, food, drink, and music venues into this already bustling part of town.

Every Sunday from May 31st through the end of October, one can enjoy shopping for fresh produce at the Lents International Farmers Market. There is also live music, cooking demonstrations and special events for all to enjoy.
