A quiet neighborhood that's South of Portland and West of West Linn, Stafford is best characterized as stately. Newer, impressively sized homes with beautifully manicured grounds and garages large enough for the whole family are the norm in this splendid community of established Oregonians.
VIBE AND STYLE
Gently rolling hills dotted with stunning French Country, Craftsman, Prairie, Mediterranean, and Traditional masterpieces make for a style that's unmistakably Oregonian and speaks to the easy luxury of Stafford's residents. However, you don't necessarily need to be a millionaire to live here! Stafford residents simply love living in the beautiful Oregon country side without sacrificing easy access to the exciting urban thrills of Portland.
Stafford residents enjoy easy access not only to Portland, but also Tualatin's under-rated restaurant scene and the great fishing spots in West Linn. For those who enjoy trips down to wine country, escapes to Dundee are made much easier without having to push through Portland's traffic. Those for whom a faith-based community is important will be delighted by the prominent churches, which play a large role in shaping the social fabric of this area.
Usually we dedicate this section to the beautiful Oregon parks in the area – but for Stafford, we feel it necessary to simply describe the region itself. Unobstructed views of a natural skyline and open streets mean that you can ride your bike right out of your driveway and onto the country roads. Just because the area itself is beautiful, that doesn't mean it's without some great parks; the Northern edge of Stafford features the shady and wooded Sunnyslope and Cooks Butte, both of which are perfect for picnics, and the open fields of Steven's Meadows, perfect for a game of frisbee.
