The Hasson Company Sponsors "Ten Grands" Concert Benefiting The Snowman Foundation

For the eighth year in a row, Hasson gives back to the community through special performance

Date: March 17, 2008

The Pacific Northwest's top-selling independent real estate brokerage, The Hasson Company, announced today that it will once again sponser the "Ten Grands" benefit concert at the Arlene Schnitzer Concert Hall on April 5, 2008 at 7 p.m.

For the eighth consecutive year, The Hasson Company has partnered with The Snowman Foundation, a Portland-based charity created by Northwest composer and pianist Michael Allen Harrison, inviting 10 of the West Coast's finest concert pianists to perform a variety of classical and modern pieces on 10 grand pianos both simultaneously and individually.

Concert proceeds benefit The Snowman Foundation's outreach program, which donates musical instruments and performing arts lessons and scholarships to disadvantaged youth and schools and organizations in need throughout Oregon and Southwest Washington.

"Each year we align ourselves with community efforts that make a difference in people's lives," says Mike Hasson, President and owner of The Hasson Company. "As the original sponsors of the 'Ten Grands' concert, we believe that The Snowman Foundation is one of those exceptional charities that reaches out and helps to better our communities through music."

The "Ten Grands" concert is traditionally presented only once a year. This year, however, three shows are planned. In addition to the 7 p.m. performance, The Snowman Foundation has added an exclusive matinee show for kids at 1 p.m. on April 5 at the Arlene Schnitzer Concert Hall. The new matinee is called "Ten Grands for Kids." Every $50 donated gives supporters the opportunity to sponsor a child who otherwise would not have the chance to see and be inspired by the unique experience like "Ten Grands." An additional concert is planned for May 17 at Benaroya Hall in Seattle.

Tickets are now on sale for $36-$120. For more information about the "Ten Grands" concert, visit www.snowmanfoundation.org.

The Hasson Company is also sponsoring the Oregon Children's Theatre (OCT) performance of "The Ghosts of Treasure Island," April 20, 26 and 27, 2008. Please visit www.hasson.com/community for more information about the performances and discounts available.
