This year, The Hasson Company celebrates 25 years as the premier independent real estate brokerage in the Northwest. Avoiding the pitfalls other companies take that ultimately lead to their demise, The Hasson Company has achieved its longevity and stability through a healthy business model and smart business practices.
Ranked No. 1 in the nation in sales volume per agent, The Hasson Company is the only remaining locally owned, managed and operated full-service real estate company in Oregon and Southwest Washington that competes with regional and national firms.
After graduating from the University of Oregon in 1977, Mike Hasson began his career in real estate. In 1983, he launched Handel, Hasson & Jones - a small residential real estate firm in Lake Oswego, Ore. Eight years later, Hasson bought out his partners and formed The Hasson Company Realtors, comprised of 12 professional real estate agents and him as president/managing broker. Since then, the company has grown to nearly 300 full-time agents in eight offices located throughout the Portland metro area, Vancouver, Wash., and Central Oregon.
A native of Oregon, Hasson attributes the success and longevity of the company to its commitment to the community in which it was founded. By gaining a reputation for quality, service and integrity, The Hasson Company has achieved a position in the local market as the leading company to turn to when it comes to full-service real estate.

Hasson also attributes the success of the company to its culture. He has always maintained a "hands-on" approach in working closely with agents and selectively recruiting experienced sales professionals.
