Recent Surge in International Relocation into Oregon Recognized by Leading Local Real Estate Company

Date: January 8, 2008

According to the U.S. Census Bureau, more than 14,000 people immigrate to Oregon from abroad each year. In response to this population increase - which is a direct result of both employment opportunities and the quality of life that Oregon has to offer - human resource professionals and relocation management companies are gaining the skills necessary to help both individual and corporate moves to and from Oregon on an international level. Companies such as Nike, Intel, Hewlett Packard and Adidas transfer employees requiring professional assistance every day.

Leading local real estate company, The Hasson Company, recently announced that its Director of Relocation and Corporate Services, Patrice Kuchulis, earned the Global Mobility Specialist (GMS) designation from Worldwide Employee Relocation Council (ERC®) after successfully completing the GMS series of courses and exams. The type of trained leadership that Kuchulis now possesses further underlines The Hasson Company's credibility as the resource for corporate relocation departments at companies such as these to turn to when helping their employees relocate.

"I enjoyed the course and gained a wealth of knowledge about international relocation as it applies to corporate transferees," says Kuchulis. "Since receiving this training and designation, we have helped numerous international transferees. We have applied this knowledge to our Resettlement Services and GMS has enabled us to offer a higher level of service to our corporate and individual relocation clients."

With more than 25 years of experience in the real estate industry and 29 awards for outstanding relocation service, Kuchulis leads The Hasson Company's Relocation Services Division. As a member of the ERC and the Relocation Director's Council (RDC), Kuchulis ensures that every Hasson client is confident they are working with a nationally renowned team of innovative relocation specialists.

"Patrice's GMS designation allows her to offer strong credentials to our clients who are addressing global business and career challenges and opportunities," says Mike Hasson, President and owner of The Hasson Company.

Worldwide ERC is a professional membership association comprised of individuals concerned with global workforce mobility. The organization introduced the GMS program in 2003 to provide the tools individuals working in the international relocation arena need on a daily basis. The program offers participants a universal understanding of the key elements of global mobility, which in turn facilitates better communication between corporate relocation personnel, relocation companies, service providers and expatriate families. Kuchulis joins more than 1,400 global workforce mobility professionals in 37 countries who carry this distinctive professional designation.
