Identified by the beautiful Three Sisters mountains, Sisters is a small Central Oregon town with big appeal. Used for seasonal hunting and gathering by the Northern Paiute Native Americans, the land remained unsettled until the early 1880’s. The area’s proximity to open pastures and dense forests supported local sheep and cattle ranching businesses as well as a thriving lumber industry. By the 1970’s, Sisters became a high desert destination and tourism became the town’s focus.

Reminiscent of the town’s history, Bronco Billy’s Ranch Grill serves up hearty meals such as slow-roasted prime rib and authentic Mexican cuisine. The exceptional Black Butte Ranch resort is a favorite Oregon destination. Awarded four stars by Golf Digest, the resort’s Big Meadow course challenges player’s skills and accuracy against a backdrop of stunning mountain views. Other year-round resort activities include tennis, biking, swimming and horseback riding.
Outdoor Sanctuary
Surrounded by rivers, lakes, mountains and meadows, the selection of outdoor activities are countless. The nearby Deschutes National Forest accommodates hikers and backpackers with miles of winding trails and scenic vistas. Fly fisherman flock to the rushing Metolius River for their catch of Rainbow Trout, Dolly Varden Trout and Kokane Salmon. During the warmer months several camping locations are conveniently located offering full service amenities such as showers, bathrooms, fire pits and picnic tables.
