Bend is a dynamic city located in central Oregon near the foothills of the majestic Cascade Mountains. The expansive meadows and dense forests first attracted pioneers in the mid-1800’s. The area slowly developed into a small community supported by growing ranching and timber industries, and was officially incorporated in 1905. Designated the county seat of Deschutes County, the city became a significant logging station and thus experienced rapid economic growth. The quaint community of Tumalo is located ten miles to the northwest.

Vibe and Style

Bend is an inviting mountain town with a cosmopolitan appeal. Empowered by small businesses and savvy entrepreneurs, the area’s economy has seen substantial growth. Activities include skiing, snowboarding, snowshoeing, sledding and sleigh rides.
