“I intend to reduce the common stresses associated with selling and house hunting, so you can enjoy the positive moments of our time together.” - Megan Banta
Buying or selling a home often coincides with an exciting and transitional period in one’s life. I take pride in assisting my clients through this process and am grateful for the opportunity to serve as their champion during these big life moments. I am a third generation realtor and a true product of my environment. My real estate insight and expertise stems from years of exposure and first- hand experience. I owe my beginning to my mom and business partner, Heather Coleman, who I am fortunate enough to work with and learn from in our Portland-Bend client relationships. We work closely together, and she has greatly shaped the Realtor I am today.
My first priority is to thoroughly and effectively communicate with my clients all aspects of the process to ensure they are fully informed and involved every step of the way. Without the burden of stress, I give my clients the opportunity to focus on the options available to them, and ultimately make a well-informed decision which best suits their needs and lifestyle.
I grew up in Lake Oswego and graduated from Linfield College with a BA in Elementary Education. After graduating college, I moved back to the Portland and am working on developing and sustaining relationships within my community. I spend my free time volunteering for organizations which provide services to mom's afflicted with breast cancer. My two favorites are Michelle's Love and Breast Friends, which I remain connected to through my sorority's alumna chapter. My years serving on Zeta Tau Alpha's Executive Council, including as President, instilled a deep connection to Breast Cancer Education and Awareness programs. I remain involved with my collegiate campus, sisters, and our philanthropy every chance I get.

I worked with Megan to buy my first home and I couldn't be happier with the experience! She was very helpful and patient with me as a first time home buyer. She explained everything thoroughly and made me feel confident about my choices. Megan was quick to respond to any questions I had and made sure I understood all steps of the house buying process. I highly recommend anyone looking to buy or sell go through Megan Banta

I just wanted to randomly touch base and thank you again for how amazing you were with me during the sale of my home. I have told countless tales of the negative experience I initially had, then essentially reached out to you in a "HELP" manner and you simply took charge. You connected with me that not only eased my high stress (carrying two mortgage payments! I experienced the finance stress I've always heard about), but you had a way of quickly learning your "client" (I say friend) and connecting in a way that made working with you so efficiently.

We worked with Megan to both buy and sell a home. She was a blast to work with and very responsive and flexible. When we had pre-purchase jitters she did a great job of listening to our concerns and without being pushy or making us feel rushed, helping us visualize our life in the new place to calm our anxiety. We walked away from both the purchase and sale feeling like Megan had negotiated hard for us and left all parties satisfied with the deal. When it's time for the next move, hopefully many years from now, we'd be happy to work with her again.

"Megan is an amazing partner to have in the home buying/selling process. If you like data, you'll love the upfront reporting, continual comp evaluation and market trend data that is provided on your home when selling as part of her service. If you like friendly, confident, and someone who doesn't waver in light of challenging negotiations, then Megan's your Realtor. My husband and I were so incredibly happy to work with her in selling our first time and buying our next dream home. She was always prompt and communicative, followed through on her commitments, and in the end provided us with not just a great transaction but also a friendship. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend her and will definitely work with her in the future. The best!"

"I cannot express how fantastic Megan has been through the process. I am a first time home buyer and I circumvented most of her normal, very useful processes, in that we went to look at homes before having an initial meeting, put in an offer the next day, and had it accepted that night. A record!
She was there to go over everything with me, guide me through things that were not a part of her job, and even now, months later (I'm a bit delayed in my review!) she's raring to go in my corner as I work through homeowner issues. I would recommend her to anyone!"
