Print Agent Bio

Whether you are looking to buy or sell in the greater Portland area, I believe you deserve to work with someone who is trustworthy, patient, a good listener and who works tirelessly on your behalf. I believe that while this business involves big life choices, buying and selling real estate should be fun. I like to have fun.

In high school, I interviewed a friend's mom about her real estate career for a school assignment. I remember asking her about her favorite part of the job. Without hesitation, she said; "People think real estate is about buying and selling buildings, but it's actually about people. I like helping people." All these years later, I think about those words daily as I help people solve problems, accomplish goals, and embark on new adventures.

Houses are nice. But it's about people.

I like people, and people seem to like me - so, it works out pretty well! Before becoming a realtor, I spent 15 years facilitating Social-Emotional Learning programs in elementary schools. Turns out, teaching kids life skills like active listening, stress management and conflict resolution helped prepare me for a career in residential real estate.

I was born in St Louis, but grew up in the Bay Area where I met my wife and we started our family. Seeking a better quality of life and an ideal place to raise our son led us to Portland. We knew instantly we had made the right choice; we love the Pacific Northwest and all it has to offer an active family. I dedicated myself to finding the perfect home for our family. I took this role very seriously and began poring over listings, neighborhood statistics, school ratings, and crime reports. I learned a lot, and I had fun too! Portland is truly a city of neighborhoods and I delighted in the exploration of the uniqueness of each one. We eventually settled in Eastmoreland, which has proven to be a great fit for us.

I love the beautiful architecture that is found throughout the PNW. In fact, owning an older home with real character is one of the things that drew us to Portland in the first place. When I'm not hosting open houses, or helping a client find their perfect home, most weekends you'll find me maintaining and restoring our 1915 Craftsman bungalow. Working on my own home has provided me both a great sense of pride but my knowledge and experience as a handyperson has also proven to be a valuable asset to my clients.

Get in touch with me today, I'd love to hear about your plans and explore how I can help you achieve your goals.

It’s about quality over quantity. At Hasson, we take tremendous pride in associating only with agents who epitomize the service, communication and professionalism that our company is known for. The agents and the company are dependent upon each other to achieve the greatest success.

"Dan Bruno is a jack of all trades! His wisdom and insight of the home buying process is vast and reassuring. Dan was referred to us by a real estate agent we used to sell our home in another state, and we are so glad that we got him on the job. Dan spared no time in his hunt with us on a hot market like Portland, OR. His knowledge of the ins-and-outs of the different stages and details of inspection process was extensive. If there was anything Dan wasn’t sure of, he showed humility and made sure to ask the proper sources. We saw so many homes, I will not even SAY how many, and Dan kept a positive and hopeful attitude that the right one would be out there for us. And it was! He worked out a fair price and made the process a win-win for all. I’d recommend him in a heartbeat."

"If we could conjure up a combination of Realtor, psychic, guidance counselor, and trusted family friend, we could NOT have done better than to land in the capable hands of Dan Bruno. Fearlessly, Dan took on our multi-generational family of 5 with deep opinions and disparate needs, AND also re-locating from the San Francisco Bay Area, and relentlessly worked with us until we found the very best possible home for our needs. This is not our first trip to the rodeo, having bought and sold 8 homes between us, so it was refreshing to find a Broker who is both professional, AND who really listens. Add to the challenge of our search, the strain of Covid-19, and we were set to have minimal assistance during this trying time. Dan's ability and willingness to communicate with us clearly and regularly, to act as our advocate, and to give advice based on a similar family move from the Bay Area to Portland, made him a dream come true; highly intelligent, intuitive, and caring, it is clear that finding the right home for clients is more than just a job to him. We unequivocally recommend Dan Bruno as the go-to Portland relocation guy."
