Ways to Celebrate Easter 2021 in the Portland Area

Mark your calendars — the Easter Bunny is on his way! While the massive egg hunts and decadent brunches may be temporarily paused this year, there are still several ways to celebrate Easter 2021 in the Portland area. 

We’ve searched and gathered up some of the best Easter events, from festive 5Ks to drive-thru celebrations, to help celebrate to the fullest. Whether you’re spending the holiday at home or socially distanced in the community, we hope you have a wonderful Easter! 

 

Hunt for Eggs at the Lee Farms Easter Egg Hunt 

March 25–28, 2021 | Lee Farms, Tualatin

Lee Farms in Tualatin is hosting their annual Easter Egg hunt to kick off the holiday festivities! This year, they are offering multiple dates and time slots to ensure a safe, limited occupancy and provide plenty of room to space out and roam the farm. Each egg hunt ticket includes 12 prizes (in exchange for 12 empty eggs), play time on the slide and hay maze, a sugar cookie to take home and decorate, an opportunity to see the animals, and take-home coloring sheets! Each ticket holder may do all of the above activities during their designated one-hour time slot. Click here for more information about this event (including COVID policies) and to purchase your tickets. 

 

Paint + Sip at Venvino Art Studios 

March 27 + 28, 2021 | Venvino Art Studios, Happy Valley 

Get creative and make your very own Easter décor at Venvino Art Studios in Happy Valley. The weekend before Easter, they are hosting a “Shy Bunny” painting class, which includes easy step-by-step instructions and all the supplies you need to create this adorable canvas painting. There are several 1.5-hour timeslots available for up to six people from no more than two households. Click here to reserve your spot! 

 

Go to the Opening Weekend for Monticello Antique Marketplace’s Home & Garden Show 

Monticello Antique Marketplace is hosting their much-anticipated Home & Garden Show, kicking off on Easter weekend. Here, you’ll find everything you need to beautify your outdoor space. The show will contain a wide selection of patio, yard and garden accessories and furniture from a variety of vendors. Masks are required and social distancing is encouraged. Doors open at 8 a.m. on April 2! 

 

Run or Walk in the Hop Hop Half, 10K & 5K 

April 3–17, 2021 | Anywhere 

 Hop Hop Half, 10K & 5K

The Hop Hop Half, 10K & 5K is back for 2021 — with a special twist! They are offering two unique experiences, including a virtual/open course and a VIP timed race. The virtual/open course option allows you to complete your chosen distance any time between April 3 and 17, either on one of their multiple “open-course” routes or from anywhere you’d like! The VIP timed race means you’ll choose a time slot and compete on their marked (but not closed) course on April 3. The swag for this race is as exceptional as always; participants receive a $10 gift card to Grand Central Bakery, a mini mimosa kit, commemorative champagne flute, a custom bib, a t-shirt, an egg medal, and your own personalized finish line! Click here to register for the race. 

 

Drive Through the Fairview Easter Drive-Thru Event 

Each year, the City of Fairview hosts their annual Easter egg hunt for the community. This year, they are hosting a special drive-thru event on the Saturday before Easter from 10 a.m.–12 p.mClick here for updates as this event gets closer! 

 

Wood Village Baptist Church in Wood Village is hosting a drive-thru Easter egg event this year due to COVID. While supplies last, they will be handing out Easter eggs, goodie bags, arts and crafts kits, and more, to the community from 9:30 a.m.–12 p.m. on Saturday.

April 3, 2021 | Oaks Amusement Park, Portland

It may not be an “Easter event” necessarily, but Carchella is an excellent (and safe) thing to do on Easter weekend. This live concert series showcases the best of the local music scene, enjoyed from the safety of your own vehicle. The show starts with interviews and commentary, followed by a performance from a special headliner band. On April 3, the headliner is nationally acclaimed singer-songwriter Justin Sheehy, who interprets songs from the ‘60s until now, along with catchy originals of his own. The gates open at 6 p.m. and the show starts at 7 p.m. Tickets are $59 per vehicle! 

 

Hop on Board the Portland Spirit

Hop on board the Portland Spirit for a two-hour Easter Brunch cruise featuring an elaborate plated brunch, ever-changing views, and excellent service. Your ticket includes a delicious Northwest brunch, dessert, reserved table entertainment, coffee, hot tea, champagne, orange juice, sparkling cider and service gratuity. Portland Spirit is offering both a morning brunch (9:30–11:30 a.m.) and an afternoon brunch (2:30–4:30 p.m.) — book your cruise here!

 

April 4, 2021 | At Home 

Even if you’re not ready to dine in at a restaurant just yet, that doesn’t mean brunch is a no-go this year. Bergerac is serving up a special Easter menu for both brunch and dinner, which you can pick up, reheat and enjoy at home. The brunch menu includes a seasonal quiche, sautéed potatoes, and mixed greens. The dinner menu includes a salad, herb garlic marinated pork cutlets, bacon-wrapped asparagus, roasted baby carrots and gratin dauphinoise — plus dessert: lemon posset, raspberries and lemon cookie. See the menu and place your order here. 

 

Watch a Local Baker Compete on the Food Network

One of our very own was featured on the Food Network’s new series, “Easter Basket Challenge,” which can be streamed on Discovery Plus! Keep an eye out for Makana Jarman, co-founder of Cake Nouveau, a pastry and cake decorating company in Portland. Cheer Makana on as you drool over the delicious and immaculate Easter-inspired creations each contestant creates. In the end, only one baker will receive the golden Easter egg filled with $25,000! 

 

Treat Yourself With Chocolate From Pix Patisserie
