Not to mention, the town’s serene beach setting is conducive for aspiring artists to practice their brush strokes en plein air. Let’s embark on a walking tour of some of the best art galleries in Cannon Beach, focused on a variety of styles and mediums, from abstract sculpture to landscape painting, and everything in between.

White Bird Gallery

Established in 1971, the White Bird Gallery was one of the first galleries to fully incorporate fine art with fine craft. In fact, the gallery helped develop the thriving art community in Cannon Beach we experience today. You’ll find a little bit of everything at White Bird, including paintings, sculptures, prints, photography, glass, ceramics and jewelry.

 

Bronze Coast Gallery

World-renowned nature and landscape photographer Randall J Hodges presents his second gallery called Images of the West, which features his work on limited edition gallery-wrapped canvas, metal and lumachrome HD acrylic prints. You can even pick up his book, Images of the West, calendars, and greeting cards, if you’re a fan of his work but not quite ready to commit to a larger print.

 

Modern Villa Gallery

Located at The Landing, the Modern Villa is a contemporary art gallery featuring works from 10 artists, including Sarah Goodnough, Josef Kote, Anne Packard, and David Jonathan Marshall. Oregon Gallery

With three locations, in Cannon Beach, Seaside and Eugene, Oregon Gallery has been a regional source for photography for over 40 years. The gallery showcases the scenic photography by Ron Keebler, including images from the coast to the high desert, and the mountains, rivers, lakes and waterfalls in between. Northwest By Northwest Gallery

One of the newest additions to the Cannon Beach art scene, Imprint Gallery is a beautiful gallery set over two floors in the space adjacent to Driftwood Restaurant & Lounge. On the first floor, explore a variety of paintings, sculpture, and ceramics. The second floor, which is focused on printmaking, is equipped with a studio that hosts educational and interpretive activities throughout the year.

 

Jeffrey Hull Gallery

Nestled on the second floor of the lively Sandpiper Square, The Jeffrey Hull Gallery exclusively showcases the work of artist Jeffrey Hull, who began his painting career over 40 years ago as a resident of Cannon Beach. The gallery is filled with his original watercolors, oil paintings, and lithograph prints. Jeffrey is known for his ability to capture the beauty and distinct moods of the places where water joins land. In fact, he is rarely found far from the ocean’s edge, the source of his inspiration.

Cannon Beach Arts Association

If you appreciate the vibrant arts community in Cannon Beach, you have the Cannon Beach Arts Association to thank! This volunteer-run organization supports the arts and artists in Cannon Beach through a variety of exhibits, education and events. And their retail store showcases local jewelry, prints, pottery, and other work by local artists. They also display a gallery featuring regional and local artists working in fine arts and crafts in nine curated shows each year.

 

Icefire Glassworks
