Named “the friendliest restaurant in town”, this quaint eatery serves diner favorites from french toast and omelets to specialty burgers and homemade soups. They’re only open for breakfast and lunch, but their massive portions will keep you full throughout the day!

Big Horse overlooks downtown Hood River and has been a local favorite for over 30 years. They offer a well-crafted, seasonal menu with a great selection of house-brewed ales, lagers, region wines, handcrafted cocktails and more! Their fantastic food selection, along with their unparalleled views, make this a must-visit destination in the area.
Nestled in an adorable gray house on Oak Street, Brian’s Pourhouse offers an upscale dining experience in a comfortable atmosphere. Using only the freshest local ingredients, they craft unique and delicious dishes that go perfectly with their creative cocktails, extensive wine list and local microbrew offerings. This Scandinavian-style brunch spot, originally from PDX, opened a location in Hood River just a few years ago and has quickly become one of the most popular restaurants in the area. Their menu includes brunch staples like omelets and mimosas, along with Scandinavian-inspired dishes like Swedish meatballs, Danish pancakes and lamb burgers — all made with fresh, local ingredients.
Celio Restaurant and Bar is a friendly locale that specializes in Pacific Northwest farm-to-table eats. They offer stunning dishes that highlight the best of Oregon’s seasonal bounty, including locally-sourced steak, salmon, produce and wine.

Full Sail Brewing Company proves that great beer calls for great food. Along with their award-winning brews, they offer a full menu using fresh and locally sourced, sustainable ingredients. Their Session Lager-battered fish and chips are fantastic and their fried Brussel sprouts is an appetizer you won’t be able to turn down. They even offer a kid’s menu for future Full Sailers!
This hidden Hood River gem is located right off of June Street and features the best tacos and burritos around! Their brightly colored dining room and adorable patio make this the perfect spot for lunch or dinner. When you visit, make sure to try their incredible freshly fried potato chips that just may change your life.
River Daze Café is the go-to spot for made-to-order sandwiches in the area. You can also enjoy small-plate breakfasts, organic soups and salads, and handmade treats. Accompany your breakfast with a freshly brewed local coffee or kombucha. And if you’re there for lunch, try one of their Northwest microbrews.Their adorable dining area also offers plenty of views worthy of your next Instagram post.

You might not have guessed that one of the best restaurants in the area would be located in a Best Western Inn, but Riverside has been a dining destination since 1967. It’s the only waterfront restaurant in the area, offering fantastic views of the Columbia River from the dining room and an expansive outdoor deck and patio! They serve breakfast, lunch and dinner using fresh, all natural ingredients.
For fantastic seafood and pasta, definitely head to Romul’s. While it’s an upscale establishment, it hasn’t lost its casual charm. Their unbeatable quality, great prices, friendly staff and mouth-watering dishes are just a few of the many reasons you should visit.

This farm-to-table eatery features a menu full of local ingredients that will satisfy anyone’s diet, whether you’re a meat lover or vegetarian. While everything they offer is top-notch, don’t miss the incredible burgers or their fish and chips, made with freshly caught Alaskan cod. This laidback eatery also showcases art-filled walls and a tandem bicycle hanging from the ceiling.
Solstice is a friendly pizzeria, bar and restaurant with river views and a menu showcasing the best local and seasonal ingredients. They’re located just a few steps away from the riverfront and feature a roaring fireplace inside. Their wood-fired pizza and other dishes are authentically inspired by the Italian countryside, meaning that you don’t have to go far for a taste of Italy in Oregon.
Located in an idyllic natural setting, Stonehedge Gardens Wine Country Bistro is one of the most romantic restaurants in Hood River. Enjoy delicious cuisine made with local ingredients inside their cozy dining rooms or outside on the patio, complete with trees, waterfalls and romantic lighting. In addition to being a fantastic restaurant, they’re also a wedding venue!
