Fuel up with a cup of coffee at our favorite neighborhood coffee shops, like Thump or Backporch Coffee Roasters. River’s Edge Golf Course is one of the few courses in the area open year-round; the 18-hole course offers gorgeous mountain and river views. Awbrey Glen Golf Course is an exceptional private golf course in NW Bend with Cascade views, a championship course, a public restaurant, and a myriad of other amenities. Unwind with a drink at The Wine Shop and Beer Tasting Bar, the Dogwood Cocktail Cabin or The Stihl Whiskey Bar.

Northeast Bend is an exceptional option for investors, as it offers a thriving rental market and ongoing subdivision development while the area increases in popularity. Plus, NE Bend is an ideal area for first-time home buyers, as it is the most affordable quadrant in Bend with an average home price of $365,365. The majority of homes in NE Bend surround the ever-expanding St. Charles Medical Center, which is the largest hospital in Central Oregon and a level 2 trauma center. The south edge of NE Bend has a Costco, providing a convenient one-stop-shop for families living in this quadrant. Pilot Butte Neighborhood Park is an expansive park along the southern border of NE Bend with a picnic shelter and tables, a playground, a plaza space, benches, and lots of trees providing shade.
With an emphasis on new developments, NE Bend real estate includes a mix of home styles, sizes and price points, providing an option for just about every buyer. Neighborhoods in NE Bend include Boyd Acres, Orchard District and Mountain View. One of our favorite neighborhood restaurants is Hola Restaurant, which puts a modern twist on Mexican-Peruvian cuisine. You can unwind with a drink at Worthy Brewing Company or the Platypus Pub. Pine Nursery Park is an expansive green space in NE Bend with a disc golf course, a dog park, trails, and athletic fields and courts. One of the more convenient features of NE Bend is the cluster of businesses and grocery stores, including Whole Foods, Safeway and Costco, all grouped together in the southeast corner of the quadrant.

Southeast Bend is perfect for those looking for more acreage and a laid-back community feel. SE Bend is known for offering some of the best remaining acreages and small ranches in Central Oregon, many with irrigation rights. There is a mixture of established communities and developing communities being added to SE Bend on a regular basis. Residents have the ability to access the many neighborhood conveniences along the western border of the quadrant near US-97. This commercial area has Fred Meyer, Albertsons, Walmart, Goodwill, Dollar Tree, a number of outlet stores, a gas station, and other convenient stores.
SE Bend includes the following neighborhoods: Larkspur, Old Farm District and Southeast Bend. Homes in SE Bend include both older and new properties, many of which are situated on spacious lots. With an average home price of about $400,000, this is another relatively affordable area to call home. There are a number of ranches and farms located just outside the boundaries of SE Bend, providing country living just minutes from the conveniences of Bend.

Some of our favorite places to eat in SE Bend include Tomo Japanese Sushi Restaurant, Wild Oregon Foods, Brown’s Basics Bakery and Eatery, and El Rodeo. Grab a drink at The Hideaway Tavern, which offers a wide selection of beers and cocktails, in addition to a full food menu.

Southwest Bend is particularly desirable for its riverfront properties, new developments and natural beauty, exemplified by the Deschutes River, which runs through most of the quadrant. Bordered by US-97 to the east and the Deschutes National Forest to the west, SW Bend enjoys both natural beauty and convenient access to other parts of town. SW Bend is home to the Old Mill District, a popular mixed-use development along the river with a variety of shops, galleries, breweries and restaurants. Popular coffee shops in SW Bend include Spoken Moto, Thump Coffee, Strictly Organic Coffee, Companion Coffeehouse, Backporch Coffee Roasters and more. There are a number of breweries in SW Bend, including Cascade Lakes Brewing, Deschutes Brewery, GoodLife Brewing and the Ale Apothecary. Some of our favorite eateries in SW Bend are Level 2, Pastini, and Bangers & Brews Sausage House.
