It’s not every day you encounter something like this. Situated directly along the Pacific, this adorable cottage is a truly iconic property providing a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity. Nicknamed “The Nest,” the property offers panoramic views of ocean vistas, a spacious and private setting, a desirable tiny home feel, and proximity to the charming beach town of Manzanita.
Tiny Home Feel
At just 952 square feet, this home is perfect for those pursuing the popular “tiny home” lifestyle. Although the home is much larger than most tiny homes, it is synonymous with the ideals and overall feel of simple living. The home has two bedrooms and one bathroom, a cozy living space maximizing the property’s oceanfront location, and a simple kitchen.
The home utilizes space intelligently, as storage space and the overall layout were designed with intention. We especially admire the cozy nook acting as a bedroom in the main living space. Plus, either side of the bed offers sufficient storage behind two sliding closet doors.
Endless Ocean Views
The location of this property is truly unbeatable. Tucked away from busy streets and foot traffic, the home is perched just steps from a towering cliff with waves crashing below. From nearly every vantage point on the property, you can see the sparkling ocean. The sunsets here are remarkable as well, as the sun sets directly beyond the ocean horizon, reflecting a rainbow of color on the water.
Expansive Private Yard
The property encompasses 1.14 acres of land, which provides plenty of space to entertain, run around and play. The existing home is surrounded by trees and lush foliage, offering additional privacy and natural beauty. The address is located near the end of a very quiet street and the steep cliff at the edge of the property means the home in nearly inaccessible from the beach below.
Proximity to Charming Beach Town
This property is located approximately 2 miles north of the center of Manzanita. This charming beach town is a popular destination for travelers, as it has the third-most photographed scenery in the state of Oregon. Plus, the quaint downtown area has a myriad of eateries, boutiques, coffee shops, bed and breakfasts, and other small town attractions. There are plenty of things to do and places to eat, shop, and stay in and around Manzanita. Plus, the area is filled with plenty of green space and places for outdoor enthusiasts to explore.
Here are a few of our favorite places to go in Manzanita:
Some of our favorite coffee shops in Manzanita include Manzanita Coffee Co. and Manzanita News & Espresso. There are a myriad of popular cafes and eateries in town, including Big Wave Café, Bread and Ocean, A Mighty Thai, Marzano’s Pizza Pie, and Left Coast Siesta. Plus, there are plenty of places to grab a drink, such as The Winery at Manzanita or MacGregor’s Whiskey Bar.
During the spring and summer, locals frequent the Manzanita Farmers’ Market each Friday evening from mid-June through late September for fresh produce and locally made goods.
