Internet vs. Broker
  |  Homecare & Lifestyle

In the age of the internet, most of what you need is available at your fingertips. And sites such as Zillow and Trulia might lead you to believe that home buying and selling is that easy as well. While sites like these have certainly made it much easier to browse available homes, many who have attempted the buying and selling process on their own will be the first to tell you it is not quite that simple.

One way to navigate these important life decisions is to work with a licensed broker. It’s important to have as much information as possible and it doesn’t hurt to have someone in your court. The relationship is an important one and, while both parties take on risks, I think you’ll find that the benefits outweigh any negatives. In case you’re not convinced, below are a few reasons why you should consider this option.

Experience; they’ve got it. Your broker can guide you through the home buying or selling process blindfolded and is in charge of remembering all those pesky little details that you otherwise might forget. They can expertly chalk up your dream home into the proper combination of keywords, mls numbers, and bed/bath combinations, meaning you never have to learn the lingo. And, not to mention, when it comes time for negotiation, their skills are top notch. This is what they do for a living, and when it determines how much you will ultimately pay or receive, it’s best to let an expert do the talking.

Speaking of experts, they know many of them. Throughout their career they have met countless home inspectors, mortgage brokers, real estate attorneys, interior designers, the list goes on. You can be assured that you’re getting the absolute best, because these are relationships they have invested in and it’s more than business, it’s personal. Here at Hasson, brokers know that strength comes in numbers so they freely share their knowledge and experiences to ensure that the Hasson Company delivers on quality across the board.

You can also be assured that you’re getting the best options and recommendations because, as a licensed broker, they know the market in and out. Without doing any research on your own, they’ll be able to properly price your house so that it will sell and help you snag a deal when they see it. You’ll not only have access to all of the houses you see on the web, but also every house that any Hasson broker represents, including homes not available on the web or even on the market.

We understand that you might be wary, but it’s important to remember that by working with you the broker is engaging in risk as well. They are dedicating their time, resources and ultimately their brand to represent you as you take this next step in life. As a licensed Realtor® your broker follows a strict code of ethics and it is their top priority to get you the best deal. And, as their business is largely based off referrals, it’s also in their best interest. So sit back, relax and let them handle the hard stuff so that you can focus on the important stuff.
